The 2015 Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)

JLPT will be held on Sunday, 6th December, 2015 (at Islamabad and Karachi)
The National University of Modern Languages (NUML) in collaboration with MEXT Alumni Association of Pakistan (MAAP) and the Embassy of Japan in Pakistan has decided to facilitate the students of the Japanese language in and around the capital of Pakistan by arranging the JLPT at Islamabad. The test will also be simultaneously held at the Japan Culture Centre, Consulate General of Japan in Karachi as per routine.
The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is held world wide to evaluate and certify proficiency in Japanese of non-native speakers.
The Japan Foundation works with local host institutions to administer the test outside Japan.
The 2015 JLPT will be held on Sunday 6th December, 2015 at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), H-9, Islamabad and at the Japan Culture Centre, Consulate General of Japan in Karachi.
NOTE: Application forms along with pre-requisites mentioned below will be accepted at the National University of Modern Languages between 24th August to 11th September, 2015. Interested candidates may contact Mr. Majid Khan at -0092-51-9265100 ext 218 for application forms and other details.

  • Applications will be accepted between 24th August to 11th September, 2015 at NUML address listed below.
  • Application forms are available at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) in Islamabad AND at the Consulate General of Japan, Karachi.
  • Pre-requisites for applying the JLPT 2015:
    • Applicant must be in principle a non-native speaker of the Japanese language
    • APPLICATION FORM FEE Pak. Rs. 100 only (Payment in cash only)
    • TEST FEE For levels 1 & 2 Pak. Rs.600 only (Payment in cash only)
      For levels 3 & 4 & 5 Pak. Rs. 500 only (Payment in cash only)
    • COLOURED PHOTOGRAPHS 02 of applicant not more then 6 month old (3cm x 3cm in size)
