-          Seoul (AP) North Korea said it would blast its controversial rocket into the skies over Japan “soon,” but the window for lift off passed on Saturday without word of a launch, possibly because of strong winds. (Dawn, p-15; The News, p-10)

-          Washington (AFP) Senior envoys from Japan, which has longstanding ties with Iran, held talks in Washington as the United States Tries to chart a new course with the Islamic republic, officials said Friday. (Daily Times, p-A5)
