I am deeply saddened to learn that the massive flooding caused by the heavy rain has left extensive damages in wide areas of Pakistan including the Indus River valley area. On behalf of the Government of Japan, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to the victims and their bereaved families.


I sincerely wish the earliest recovery of the region. Japan is ready to extend necessary assistance for those who are affected.
