The Government of Japan funded Medical Equipment and Improvement of Hospital Facilities in Thanda Pani Islamabad.
His Excellency, Mr. WADA Mitsuhiro, Ambassador of Japan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on Thursday, 30th November, 2023, inaugurated two projects: The project for provision of medical equipment and the project for improvement of hospital facilities for Al-Wadood hospital in Thanda Pani, Islamabad. The hospital is being managed by True Worth Foundation, a non-governmental organization working for provision of medical facilities to deserving people.
The Government of Japan, under its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) Program, had provided financial assistance of 88,623 USD for provision of medical equipment in 2017, and 62,199 USD for the project of the improvement of hospital facilities in 2021 respectively.
Under these projects, medical facilities such as a diagnostic imaging machine, an ambulance, a generator, an Xray machine have been funded by Government of Japan along with some other supporting machines. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the NGO Board Members and hospital management staff.
The grants for two projects will make Al-Wadood Hospital more equipped to serve needy and deserving patients in the locality. This facility will make patients get their medical testing done in Al-Wadood Hospital. The hospital is committed to provide the safest and highest quality care to its patients.
His Excellency, Mr. WADA Mitsuhiro, Ambassador of Japan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, while speaking at the inaugural ceremony, congratulated the representatives of the NGO for their successful completion of this important project. He said that investing in health is one of the key priorities in Japan’s assistance policy towards Pakistan. He also expressed his hope that this project would give patients an affordable and quality treatment, and that it would certainly strengthen the existing friendly relations between the people of Japan and Pakistan.
